Una Bērziņa-Čerenkova heads the political science PhD program and the Center for China Studies at Riga Stradins University as well as the Asia program at the Latvian Institute of International Affairs. Moreover, Una is a member of the China in Europe Research Network (CHERN) and the European Think-tank Network on China (ETNC).
After defending her doctoral dissertation, she was a Senior visiting research scholar at Fudan University School of Philosophy and a Fulbright visiting scholar at the Center for East Asia Studies, Stanford University. She will use her fellowship to explore, among other topics, the Russia-China relationship.
