The Geopolitics of Green Tech: Europe and China between Cooperation and Competition
Date: Thursday, April 29, 9:30 am - 12:00 pm (CET)
Format: Workshop via Zoom (Login and a detailed agenda will be provided upon registration)
What is the European Caucus on China?
It's a new collaborative project between the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS). The two-year project, generously supported by Stiftung Mercator, is designed to extend the China debate to stakeholders across Europe who have been newly exposed to China, and to build capacity at all levels of society to pro-actively drive debates on and in exchanges with China.
Topic of the event:
The participants will discuss critical issues related to green tech cooperation and competition between Europe and China. The input will provide opportunities for participants to understand China's use of green technologies and identify benchmarks and red lines for future European engagement with Chinese counterparts in this critical sector.
The participants will receive a draft input paper in advance along with a detailed agenda. The paper will serve as a basis for a discussion and will be revised and published after the meeting.
The workshop will be held in English under Chatham House Rule. It is a non-transferable personal invitation for one person only. The login information as well as a detailed agenda will be provided upon registration.
